A Very Happy New Year to all our friends and fellow golfers.
We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and we wish you all a very happy and healthy 2024. We wanted to let you know about the upcoming events in our very popular Golf Society and the plans for 2024.
January:
We have the New Year Cup in Vale do Lobo on the Ocean course on Wednesday 31st January 2024.
This event is now fully booked with the first tee time at 11.40 a.m. We will be heading back after the golf to Al’s bar for food from 18.00, with the presentation of prizes at 19.30 and
maybe a drink or two to complete the day.
February:
Our Captain’s Day will take place in Penina Golf Club on Wednesday 28th February with the first tee time at 11.40 a.m.
This is a very important day in Al’s golf society calendar as we celebrate the start of our golfing year. >>Click Here
The event entry fee for the IL Trio event is €210.00 (€10 extra for guests), this includes two days golf including buggies, dinner with lots of wine and beers included. Wives/partners and guests of all golfers are most welcome at €40 per person for the presentation dinner and drinks from 19.30 p.m. on Friday 1st March in IL Trio Restaurant.
On Thursday evening 29th February, you are all invited to a free wine and cheese tasting event at AL’s Bar from 16.00 to 18.00
We look forward to seeing you at our Captains Day, also at the very popular IL Trio Restaurant event and at the Wine and Cheese evening in Als bar.
March:
The Antonio Guerreiro Memorial Trophy will be our March event, played as always, in Salgados Golf Club on Wednesday 27th March. Another very popular outing as we celebrate golf among friends and remember those whom we have lost but are always remembered.

Details of all the monthly golf events/competitions throughout 2024 will be posted online. If we have email addresses for you we will contact you directly with all the information.
For all of 2024 we hope to see you at our monthly outings which will be on the last Wednesday of every month. We are currently in the process of confirming monthly events from April 2024 onwards. We will give you the details of all the events in a separate newsletter shortly. This hopefully will give as much notice to all our travelling golfers from overseas.
