The Winter Cup 2024
Als Bar Winter Cup 2024 was played at the Ombria Golf resort on a beautiful November sunny day. This was the first time our society had booked this venue and the hospitality, layout and facilities were excellent. The weather was set perfect for a golf outing, a super golf course in superb condition and the complete experience was Top Drawer! This Golf Course has to be one of 'must play' courses across the Algarve, well worth a visit and you will not be disappointed that's for sure.
The number of our members were low for this event but the enjoyment was massive and we all returned to the bar for food and wine prepared by our President to round off the day. The winner - David Harpur with score of 29 points in a card play off with Alistair Smith. Check out the full results of the event >>Here The members thanked Mr. President (Aurelio) for the food table and fine wine, coupled with a superb cheese board and a vintage Port wine to complete a most enjoable day and lovely evening in Als bar concluding with the prize presentation by Aurelio.
